Due to the COVID-19
pandemic, all in-person Grey Matters gatherings are cancelled
until further notice. The health and well-being of our Grey Matters
community is of utmost importance, and we appreciate your
understanding. We are currently offering monthly Zoom video meetings
on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 7:00
p.m. unless otherwise noted in the calendar below.

Grey Matters in-person meetings
are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:45
to 9:00 p.m. with a complimentary light meal provided. We look forward
to when our group will be able to safely gather again at
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano
located at 2800 West 15th St., Plano,
TX 75075.

Grey Matters to Firefighters Campaign
In the month of May, Irving firefighters wear grey t-shirts to
help raise awareness of and financial funds for the fight
against brain cancer. Research shows that firefighters are
32% more likely to be diagnosed with brain cancer than the

American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA)
- BT5K Dallas Run & Walk
Typically held at the
Amphitheater at Oak Point Park in Plano, TX, the BT5K
Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk is the ABTA’s
national signature fundraising event, taking place in cities
coast to coast. Your participation allows the ABTA to
provide vital brain tumor resources to patients and their
families, fund promising research studies, and conduct
nationwide brain tumor educational programs. Stay tuned for
